DESCRIPTION
This oil is extracted from sandalwood that is also known as East Indian sandalwood, santal, saunders and sandalwood Mysore. This is expensive oil but has some wonderful qualities for relieving chest and urinary tract infections. It assists the skin in promoting hydration and moisture. It creates a calming and harmonizing effect on the mind, while reducing tension and confusion.

This oil blends well particularly with Bergamot, Black pepper, Lavender, Geranium, Myrrh, Rose, Vetivert and Ylang-Ylang.
CONSTITUENTS
The main chemical components of sandalwood oil include 90% santalol, santyl acetate and santalene.
USES
This oil is useful in chronic chest infections, sore throats, dry coughs, bronchitis as well as asthma. Sandalwood oil is also used for various skin problems and relieves itching and inflammation. It is most effective in relieving dehydrated skin and to prevent the skin from forming ugly scars and for fighting dry eczema.
